Equipment

Ingredients

  • For the white layer:
  • 1/2 cup non-dairy milk*
  • 1 large banana
  • 1 Tbsp hemp seeds
  • 1 Tbsp dark maple syrup
  • Pinch nutmeg
  • 5 ice-cubes
  • For the top red layer:
  • 1/2 cup fresh raspberries
  • 2 Tbsp fresh cranberries
  • 1 drop peppermint extract
  • 2 large dates
  • 1/4 cup non-dairy milk

Instructions

  • Start by creating the velvety white layer of your winter-themed smoothie. In a blender, combine non-dairy milk, a large ripe banana, hemp seeds, nutmeg, ice-cubes, and dark maple syrup.
  • Blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy, with a subtle hint of vanilla and banana flavors, along with the delightful undertone of maple syrup. Pour this creamy white layer into a Mason jar or a glass, filling it about halfway.
  • For the red layer: In the same blender (no need to rinse it out), add fresh raspberries, cranberries, maple syrup, dates, milk, and peppermint extract. Blend until you achieve a vivid red mixture that's both intensely sweet and tart, perfectly complementing the mellow vanilla white layer.
  • Gently spoon the red berry mixture on top of the white layer in your Mason jar or glass, creating a beautiful contrast of colors. To add a final touch of freshness and elegance, top your Festive Berry Bliss Smoothie with a handful of fresh or frozen berries.

Notes

*For non-dairy milk, use your favorite. I used macadamia nut milk for this recipe.
